The product
Who makes the ENTH-200 and ENTH-250?
TCL makes both units. enthalvia is the UK importer and distributor. The TCL model codes are KZd40-RS20WF-T3 (ENTH-200) and KZd40-RS25WF-T3 (ENTH-250).
What refrigerant does it use?
R290, a natural refrigerant, with a charge of 150 g and a global warming potential of 3. R290 is not an F-gas.
How hot does the water get?
Up to 70°C from the heat pump alone, and up to 75°C with the 1,600 W back-up element. The heat pump works in air from −7 to +43°C.
How loud is it?
The sound power level is 53 dB(A). TCL give a sound pressure level of 41 dB at 1 m.
Does it need ducting?
The unit supports ducted and non-ducted arrangements. Your installer will decide which suits the location. TCL's installation and service manual shows up to two ducts at the top of the unit, one bringing air in from outside and one taking it out, each up to 5 m long. Without ducts, the unit draws its heat from the room air and needs clear space around it: at least 800 mm above it, and 2,000 mm and 800 mm to the walls at either side, as drawn in the manual. Your installer must check room size, airflow, service access and the R290 requirements for the exact installation.
Can it connect to my energy system?
It has WiFi and the TCL Home app built in, with over-the-air updates, and it supports SG-Ready and Modbus. Your installer can tell you whether your system can use them.
Installation and eligibility
Who installs it?
It is an unvented hot water system and needs an installer with the right competence. The installer must follow TCL’s instructions and the building regulations that apply in England, Wales or Scotland. We do not install. When you enquire, we put you in touch with a partner installer where one covers your area.
Can I get a grant?
ENTHALVIA heat pump water heaters can form part of a system funded under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Whether your home qualifies depends on the full system installed, so your installer will confirm and apply on your behalf.
Grant eligibility and amounts are set by the government and can change. ENTHALVIA does not administer grants; your installer applies on your behalf. Information correct at October 2026.
Is VAT charged on installation?
Installing a heat pump currently qualifies for 0% VAT as an energy-saving measure, until 31 March 2027.
Are your products MCS certified?
MCS certification is in progress and expected in October 2026. We will update this page as soon as it is issued.

What cover is included?

You can extend cover up to six years with enthalvia Care, available through our partners. Ask for the full cover terms with your quotation and before you buy. Cover applies to units installed in England, Scotland and Wales.

Can I buy directly from you?
Choose a model and cover option on our Buy & packages page and request a price. Homeowner supply and installation quotations are arranged through partners where available; merchants and installers can request trade pricing. Online payment is not open yet.
What will it cost to run?
Use our running-cost calculator. It multiplies the annual electricity consumption published by the manufacturer (1,233 kWh for the ENTH-200, 1,154 kWh for the ENTH-250, under the standard XL hot water test, TCL product fiche) by your unit rate. Real use varies.
Where will stock be held?
